That madman won't be satisfied until everyone in town is dead broke What in Oblivion is Ulrich doing with all that money anyway? I'm sure he's lining his pockets with the gold of the good citizens of Cheydinhal. Take my good friend Aldos Othran for example.
In the last month, he's been fined six times! All for being drunk and disorderly. Have you ever gone past a guard barracks?
When are they NOT drunk and disorderly? What kind of a stupid fine is that? Well, Aldos couldn't pay the last two fines, so they seized his home and threw him into the street until he could pay it!
He could care less about our plight. As long as the roast suckling pig is delivered to his feast table, he's as happy as can be. I hear he isn't happy with Ulrich. I don't know what you can do for us in this situation.
I mean, Ulrich is the captain after all. Perhaps you could speak to Garrus. You can find him roaming the County Hall of the castle most of the time. You may be able to find him roaming the streets of Cheydinhal, propbably drunk. Only a month ago, he lost his wife. They were traveling the road from the Imperial City when a bandit raiding party struck.
He barely escaped alive. When you talk to him he gets so worked up that he goes off to confront the guards. The outcome is that he gets killed, which probably isn't what anybody had in mind. Go back to Llevana to report the news.
Llevana was friends with Aldos, so the news of his death wounds her deeply. She decides that she should take matters into her own hands and wants you to find Ulrich and convince him to come back to Llevana's house. Since this sounds pretty extreme, go talk to Garrus first about what Llevana is scheming.
Garrus encourages you not to go through with Llevana's plans. You now have two options. Aldos Othran is a dunmer farmer living in Cheydinhal who turned to alcoholism after the unexpected death of his wife and after incurring fine after fine by the corrupt Cheydinhal City Guard, lost his house and now lives in the streets.
He spends his day drinking and singing the cliff racer song: "Flyyyin' All for being drunk and disorderly. Another bottle of Surilie Brothers is on the low table. A copy of The Argonian Account, Book 2 lies on the shelves next to the door to the basement , in an alcove next to the stairs. Another copy of the same book lies on another bookshelf on the second floor, in the southwest corner next to the fireplace. The barrel and non-respawning sack nearby both contain clutter, and a cheese wedge is lying on the floor.
The dining area in the southeast corner holds a table set with nineteen strawberries , four blackberries , three apples , and a loaf of bread , with two more cheese wedges on the floor.
